𖦹 ׂ 𓈒 ⋆ ۪ ﾟ ˖ I am an MFA graduate, having studied my Master of Fine Art at Goldsmiths University of London. Prior to that, I graduated with a First Class Honours degree at the Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton.

𖦹 ׂ 𓈒 ⋆ ۪ ﾟ ˖ As an autistic adult, there is rarely ever a safe space. I use my art practice to illuminate my inner world to viewers, as well as visually articulate my sensory overwhelm and disarray. Craving an external world which caters to myself and other neurodivergents, I passionately strive to educate viewers about our experiences and perceptions.

𖦹 ׂ 𓈒 ⋆ ۪ ﾟ ˖ Using video creation to visually, audibly, and immersively communicate the annihilating experience of sensory overload, I have been providing viewers with an entry into the autistic mind. I expose an overwhelm of details, distractions and sensory stimuli to reveal what it feels like to perceive the environment in the all-consuming way that we do. I use layering techniques to replicate the bombardment of overt colours, an intensity of saturation, and the disorientating engulfment of details. The sounds in my work rely on fast-paced musical beats with overlaps of disturbance, playing with the viewer’s receival of the senses by creating a befuddling menagerie of melodies alongside jarring interruptions which echo the neurodivergent experience.

𖦹 ׂ 𓈒 ⋆ ۪ ﾟ ˖ Using my art to intensify a viewer’s sensitivity and awareness of their senses, I hope to provide them with a greater understanding of the autistic interaction with the external world we live in. I endeavour to artistically educate people about the neurodivergent experience, exposing my viewers to the reality of mine and others’ daily basis. Perhaps, as a viewer walks away with an enhanced awareness, accommodations for those on the spectrum, however slight, will be more likely made.

𖦹 ׂ 𓈒 ⋆ ۪ ﾟ ˖ So, for my exhibition creations, I gravitate towards video, large-scale prints, and poetry as my predominant mediums of expression. I am skilled in video creation, crafting and editing, as well as creative and academic writing. I worship my 2001 Sony cassette camcorder, which I work with using manual, digital, and code-based conversions. But, I am also experienced in using various other cameras and AV equipment.

𖦹 ׂ 𓈒 ⋆ ۪ ﾟ ˖ For my commercial-based artworks, I create prints, drawings, and poetry purchasable in all shapes and sizes (from large scale canvases to teeny tiny photo books).
